HeatX is a heat transfer company. We size, build and supply heat exchangers for industrial and commercial plants, and CIPHeatExchanger.com is the part of that work that heats a cleaning circuit: caustic, acid, hot-water rinse and the recovery exchanger that pulls heat off the return line. The people who answer the phone are application engineers who have sized these heaters for dairies, breweries, beverage plants and food plants.
That matters because a CIP heater is a small exchanger with an unusual set of conditions. The solution side carries sodium hydroxide or dilute acid, fouls with milkstone and protein, and has to be opened on a schedule. The steam side cycles from cold to 250°F or more every time a wash starts. A unit chosen off a water-to-water chart will run, but it will not pull apart cleanly or hold its gaskets for long.
HeatX is the distributor for the heat exchanger lines it sells, and the selection, sizing and application work are done here. You get one quotation, one point of contact and one party responsible for the heater matching the duty you sent.
New shell-and-tube steam heaters, U-tube and straight-tube, with 316L on everything the solution touches. New gasketed plate exchangers with EPDM or FKM gaskets for recovery and hot water. New replacement bundles and plate packs built to fit the shell or frame already in the plant.
We do not sell CIP skids, pumps, tanks, spray devices or chemical dosing panels, and we do not take in a bundle or pack you already own. The heater is our scope, and we say plainly where it sits between the tank, the supply pump and the return line.
Every quote starts with the circuit, the chemical and concentration, tank or once-through, gpm, inlet and target temperature and the steam pressure at the heater. A fouling allowance of 0.001–0.002 goes on the solution side, and the pull clearance is checked before the drawing goes out.
Plant, sanitation and utilities engineers, and the contractors who install for them. Most of our conversations start with a wash that is not reaching temperature or a bundle that has to come out and will not, and end with a heater matched to the cycle.
A CIP heater is judged at the start of the cycle: the tank is at temperature when the wash begins, or it is not.
We size for the clock, the chemistry and the day the bundle has to come out.
Start on the circuit page that matches your wash, or go to Sizing & Selection if you want to work the numbers first. Each page ends with the same three exits: the quote form, a phone call or an e-mail to sales.
Replacement buyers can go straight to the Replace a Heater pages with a nameplate photograph; we match the duty and the connections to an equivalent unit, or to a new bundle or plate pack for the existing shell or frame.
We are open 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. A request that lands outside those hours is picked up the next business morning by the application specialists who will size it.
